Best Places to Stay in MN: Enger’s Loft

1. Best Places to Stay in MN- Location!

As we mentioned, Enger’s Lofts are located in the Lincoln Park Craft District, which is only 9 minutes away from the popular Canal Park. Lincoln Park Craft District is home to some amazing, must-see businesses! This is one of the reasons it’s one of the best places to stay in MN!

  • You can get some breakfast at the Dove Tail Cafe.
  • Pick out a flower arrangement at Flora North.
  • Visit Corktown Deli & Brews for some good drinks and a sandwich.
  • Visit Damage Boardshop for any kind of board imaginable (skate, snow or surfboards).
  • Experience a delicious dinner at OMC Smoke house.
  • Get some ice cream at Love Creamery.
  • Check out Bent Paddle Brewing.

I also want to add, I have stayed in Canal Park before, and sometimes it can feel overwhelming as it’s a popular tourist area. I felt that Enger’s Lofts location was more quiet as compared to places I have stayed around Canal Park. It was very convenient and easy to get around from here!

2. Options

No matter who you are traveling with, Enger’s loft has options for you (kid friendly as well). All units have big beautiful windows so you can enjoy the view.

3. Spacious

Each room is very spacious, no matter which option you choose. The interior design is well done and the space utilized very well! We had no problem having our kids there and didn’t feel “cramped” like we have at some hotels we have stayed at. It’s wonderful that each unit has a kitchen and living area as well. Having a kitchen allowed us to prepare our own meals and snacks for our kids. Of course, the large windows with lovely views doesn’t hurt either!

4. Pet Friendly

It can be challenging to find a lovely place to stay that also accommodates our four legged friends. Enger’s Lofts is pet friendly and the amenities are oriented to make your stay with your furry pal as convenient as possible.

5. Amenities

If you are looking for amenities and a well-stocked lodging option, this is it! Enger’s Loft is ADA accessible with elevators available. We booked the two bed luxe condos and had a washer & dryer in our bathroom- it was so convenient to pack less clothes! There are extra storage units if you’d like to bring your bike. Internet access is provided, free parking is available, pack n plays optional and a well stocked kitchen (lots of coffee and tea options!).

6. Cozy vibes

I mentioned earlier how spacious the rooms are, but I also need to add how great the interior design is. The brick walls give a modern feel, but the inside is very cozy! We appreciated the warm throw blankets and how soft and cozy the beds are. You will definitely get a good night’s rest here- and you will need it with all the great things there are to do in Duluth!

7. Great for All Seasons

I often get asked, “When is the best time of year to visit the North Shore?” My reply is always, ANYTIME is a good time! I have visited all the towns along the North Shore during every season of the year. The North Shore has it’s own beauty during each season. You get a different experience every time you go, with different events and activities to explore. Enger’s Lofts is well worth the experience anytime of year as well! We loved our festive stay during winter time and hope to visit during fall or summer!

8. 190 Degree Coffee

Right below the hotel is one of my favorite coffee shops with the best pastries I have ever tasted. 190 Degree Coffee has a convenient location being in the same building as Enger’s Lofts and is a perfect place to grab coffee on the go, work remotely or catch up with the special people in your life. And how cool is it to say your favorite coffee shop is right below where you are staying?! It doesn’t get more convenient than that!

9. Shopping

Housed below Enger’s Loft are some of the most darling stores that you have to experience to get the North Shore Minnesota experience.

  • Ren Market: This is an environmentally friendly boutique that offers non toxic cleaning items, essential oils, face wash, toothpaste, lotion, bath salts and more!
  • North and Shore: Seriously one of the most darling shops featuring so many treasures from local artists and businesses. You definitely need to make a stop here for the North Shore experience.
  • Goat Hill Marketplace: Need to doo some kitchen, pantry or every day necessity shopping during your stay? You are in luck because this little marketplace is located right below Enger’s Lofts!
  • Liila Boutique: If you are looking for new and exciting clothing options introduced on a regular basis, this is a must see!

10. Events

There are gathering spaces available to book meetings or conferences. Also, keep your eye out for events hosted below Enger’s Lofts. They often have marketplace/craft events! If you are wanting to attend any of these, I would make sure to book a room in advance.
