Nature has always been my safe place and exploring has been my muse. I grew up in the countryside in Minnesota. I have always had a love for traveling and immersing myself in nature. My love for travel started when I was young. My mom was from the Philippines and we would travel to see the rest of our family, Our days filled with island hopping, beaches and fresh smoothies on the beach.
Fast forward to 2021: We are post COVID & my father passed away. It was a difficult year. To cope, I leaned on my creative outlets. I had been writing poetry during my cross country travels for the past 10 years & decided to share my journey with others by publishing my poetry collection, Shipwreck. I decided to take it a step further and share my travel experiences as well, hoping to inspire others to connect with nature, collect memories instead of things and satisfy their wanderlust.
My travel experience is unique. I have not quit my job to live a nomadic lifestyle. I have traveled solo, with friends, family and my three lovely children. Part of why I share my joruney is because it has been difficult for me to relate with some travel artists and bloggers since my situation is different.
I wanted to fill that niche and show people that you can still travel and live your best life while working a job you love and having a family. I am blessed to work in a setting that allows me flexibility to travel & family who enjoy it as much as I do. Traveling with children has its unique challenges- but also irreplacable sweet memories. My children have gained perspectives through travel that they would not be able to within classroom walls.
It's truly all about balance! I love the variety of travel I am able to do- and I hope to support and inspire all of you to see you can do anything you set your mind to- don't let self-doubt limit you!
