There are other ways to enjoy the water such as the Dells Army Duck Tour, Wild Thing Jet Boats and various options for the Dells Boat tour including the lower tour, upper tour (includes Standing Rock and Witch’s Gulch), Sunset cruise and during fall time, a haunted boat ride experience. A lot of these activities may be seasons (the Dells Boat tours go from May to October), so please plan, plan, plan!
5. Circus World
Experience side shows, big top circus performances, hands on experiences and greet animals at Circus World, which goes from May to August. Circus World also has the largest collection of circus wagons on display that you can view.
6. Drive Through Movie Experience
Enjoy the beautiful evening by indulging in your nostalgia through a drive in movie experience with Big Sky Drive In. Similar to an indoor theater, there are snacks that can be purchased. The season goes from May through fall time depending on weather. As of fall of 2022, they are closed for the season until May of 2023.
7. Delicious Dining
If you are a foodie, look no further than downtown Wisconsin Dells! The following places are our favorites. We were able to try various places to eat downtown and our favorites for coffee and breakfast are Bella Goose Coffee Cafe on the River , Dell’s Bistro (for artsy breakfast creations) and BJ’s Restaurant. For lunch, I recommend the High Rock Cafe for beautiful downtown Wisconsin Dells view or the quirky dining experience, Grateful Shed. For a fancy dining experience, consider Hot Rocks which uses lava stones to cook the unique dishes. Of course, there are tons of dessert options at the Wisconsin Dells. My #1 is Huckleberry, which has a candy bar, ice cream and baked goods.
